The Counseling Staff are available to serve students in the following ways: social, academic and personal concerns. Students are encouraged to make regular appointments with their counselor. Meet the Counseling Staff:
Tonya Droessler= A-Gl

Ms. Droessler has been working as a high school counselor since 2002. She started her counseling career in North Carolina in 2002 and continued her school counseling career in Michigan in 2008. Ms. Droessler has served all levels of counseling from Pre K to 12th grade. She earned her bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin LaCrosse and her master's degree from University of Wisconsin Platteville. Prior to that, she had a career in archaeology and served in the US Peace Corps. Ms. Droessler was one of the few counselors voted "Counselor of the Year" by College Board.

Ms. Brokstad has been working as a high school counselor since 2008. Prior to that, she taught English at both the middle school and high school level. Her teaching and counseling experience so far has been at Durand High School, where she worked for 11 years and at Legg Middle School, where she worked for two years. Ms. Brokstad received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Western Michigan University.

Ms. Gazley has worked as a high school counselor since 2000. Prior to that she worked as an academic advisor at Oakland University. She earned her bachelors degree from MSU and a masters degree from Oakland University. Teaching experience includes: Oakland University, Baker College, and Mott Community College. Prior to joining the Waverly team she was in another district for more than a decade.
